Railway Travel for a Splendid Time in Hida: 1 night & 2 days(Night: Gero Hot Spring Area)

Take a train from Hokuriku to Hida and spend a relaxing time in a remote Hida area dotted with renowned hot springs and falls.

Toyama and Hida are famous as destinations for sophisticated travelers. Starting from Toyama Station on the JR Takayama Main Line, you will travel to Hida-Furukawa, a remote area of Hida. Strolling around the laidback area, exuding a traditional Japanese atmosphere, is an indispensable part of a tour for sophisticated travelers.
Afterwards, it might be a nice idea to travel to the Gero Hot Spring area. As one of the best hot spring areas in Japan, alongside with Arima and Kusatsu, Gero is touted for its “beauty water.” You may want to stroll around the hot spring area in the evening, clad in a colorful yukata. On the following day, you will take a route bus to Hida-Osaka, a town of waterfalls, where you can refresh yourself at the end of the tour.
